We return to the Mojave Airport with the just released DVD. Freshly minted DVDs in hand, Jim and Dag prepare to leave for Mojave and points south. We stopped by the Mojave Chamber of Commerce to drop off a copy of Mojave Magic but nobody was home. First Astronaut Mike Melvill welcomes us to Scaled Composites. At Scaled Composites, we run into SpaceShipOne crew chief Steve Losey and present him with his personalized copy of Mojave Magic. When we next see Steve he asks, "How did you guys DO that? It was great!" Mike Melvill receives his autographed copy of the DVD from Jim and graciously signs one for us. Jim keeps dragging us back to the Voyager Restaurant. It must be the pancakes. The Rotary Rocket, a retired X Prize contender, is stored at the Mojave Airport. Can I really learn to fly it there? Starship owner Robert Scherer, who provides a wonderful interview in Mojave Magic, gets his copy of the DVD. Do you have yours yet? Remember the bar in Top Gun? The one with the piano and the jukebox? Well, this is it. It's actually the Kansas City Barbeque in downtown San Diego. See www.kcbbq.net and give it a try if you're in San Diego. The ribs are great and if you're nice they'll let you play THE piano!. This is where they filmed the "sleazy" bar scene in Top Gun. It appears sleazy people are still hanging around there. Jim at the Top Gun bar in San Diego. Yes - that is THE jukebox from Top Gun. Jim's lost that lovin' feelin'. Goodness! Gracious! Great balls of fire! Yes - this is THE piano. Goose... Goose.. Talk to me, Goose. Jim toasts Top Gun stars Tom and Kelly at San Diego's Kansas City Barbeque where the Top Gun bar scenes were filmed. We visited the San Diego Aerospace Museum in San Diego's beautiful Balboa Park. A section from one of SpaceShipOne's used rocket nozzles is on display at the San Diego Aerospace Museum. Mike Melvill's autograph on this section of SpaceShipOne rocket nozzle is on display at the San Diego Aerospace Museum. Ever wonder where your GPS signal comes from? The San Diego Aerospace Museum is the only venue in the world with an actual GPS satellite on display. Just hangin' around. One of San Diego's beautiful people cherishes her copy of Mojave Magic.
